초록

This study pays attention to peace connecting as an alternative perspective to overcome the limitations of the existing peace discourse and practice on the Korean Peninsula. Peace connecting aims to increase the sustainability of peace by acknowledging “peaces” based on different dimensions and perceptions, and connecting various peaces. This is because sustainable peace can be achieved and consolidated through connection, not through a disconnected process. Attempts to approach sustainable peace building based on connecting peace place various peace building activities within the broader process of conflict, thereby transforming the various roles, functions, and dynamics between activities into a more peaceful relationship. The above awareness of the problem can be actively utilized to achieve sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula. If the approach of peace on the Korean Peninsula so far focused on creating and establishing peace on the premise that peace is absent, this study believes that it is important to connect peace ideas and practices that have already existed but have not been visibly revealed in accordance with the current situation.
