구(舊)소련 체제전환국가들 내 기업의 지속가능성과 혁신역량 분석
초록
In 1999, the USSR was dissolved and ex-Soviet Union countries became to be exposed to rapid political and economic transitions. In this paper, those countries are defined as transition countries. Under the revolution and openness drive, those transition countries began to interact with EU, which means that a part of transition countries started to evolve as pro-EU group. Surely, a few transition countries became to stay as pro-Russia group. Acknowledging this historical background, this paper attempts to pursue three research objectives: substantiality, innovative capability, and female CEO issue. Main results are to the followings. First, from the perspective of sustainable growth, the longer the history of a firm is, it is the less likely to survive longer. However, the firm turns out to be able to survive longer as long as it acquires international certificates in its business area. It is interesting to see that the higher the ratio of mangers over non-manager workers is, those firms within pro-Russia group are less likely to survive; it is probably because pro-Russia group are typically specialized into commodity industries. Second, government subsidy plays an important role in enhancing innovative capability, which provides an evidence that effective innovation cycle is lacking in transition countries. Third, it is less likely to have female CEOs among joint ventures while state-owned companies are more likely to afford female CEOs.
