자폐 스펙트럼 장애 아동의 정서⋅행동 조절 향상을 위한 애착 기반 개입 사례연구: AbER 프로그램 적용을 중심으로

This study aimed to explore the process of emotional and behavioral change in a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through the application of an attachment-based emotional regulation program (AbER program). A qualitative case study design was employed to examine changes in emotional understanding, emotional expression, emotional interaction, and emotion regulation throughout the intervention. The participant was a 6-year-old child diagnosed with ASD who exhibited difficulties in emotional recognition, limited emotional expression, and maladaptive behavioral responses. The intervention consisted of 10 sessions integrating emotion recognition training, art-based therapeutic activities, and parent–child emotional interaction tasks based on attachment theory. Data were collected through therapist observation records, parent reports, parent–child interaction records, and activity outputs, and were analyzed by categorizing changes across the initial, middle, and final phases of the program. The findings indicated that the child demonstrated a transition from behavior-based emotional responses to language-based emotional expression, improved ability to recognize and articulate emotions, and increased emotional interaction with the caregiver. In the final phase, the child showed the use of adaptive emotion regulation strategies, including verbal requests for support. These findings suggest that the AbER program is effective in improving emotional and behavioral regulation in children with ASD by promoting emotional awareness, expression, and regulation within attachment relationships. The study highlights the clinical significance of attachment-based interventions and provides implications for developing effective intervention programs for children with ASD.
