초록
This study explored the relationships among prejudice, self-compassion, perfectionistic self-presentation, and multicultural attitudes in middle school students. A total of 335 students completed self-report measures assessing prejudice, self-compassion, perfectionistic self-presentation, and multicultural attitudes. The key findings were as follows:First, prejudice was found to have a significant impact on multicultural attitudes, with self-compassion partially mediating this relationship. Second, perfectionistic self-presentation was identified as a moderating variable in the relationship between prejudice and self-compassion, indicating that the impact of prejudice on self-compassion is influenced by the level of perfectionistic self-presentation. Third, perfectionistic self-presentation also moderated the indirect effect of self-compassion in the relationship between prejudice and multicultural attitudes. These findings underscore the complex interplay between prejudice, self-compassion, and perfectionistic self-presentation in shaping multicultural attitudes. The study highlights the importance of considering these factors when developing educational strategies and programs aimed at enhancing multicultural attitudes among middle school students.
