초록

With the advancement of information and communication technology and the spread of smart devices, smart learning has become popular, and as a result, research on smart learning is being actively conducted and research results are accumulating. Accordingly, in this study, we analyzed the effect size of smart learning by conducting a meta-analysis on papers that included correlation coefficient results among existing smart learning studies. In this process, previous research results were reviewed and smart learning characteristic factors were categorized as motivation, system, content, and service, and outcome variables were defined as satisfaction, performance, and attitude. As a result of the meta-analysis, the effect size of smart learning was found to be at a significantly medium level not only from the overall perspective of smart learning, but also from all aspects of each characteristic factor such as motivation, system, content, and service. Smart learning outcome variables also showed that the effect size of smart learning was significantly medium in all aspects of satisfaction, performance, and attitude, except for the effect size of content on performance, which was found to be exceptionally insignificant. In terms of the effect size according to the research object, office workers showed the highest effect, and in terms of the effect size according to the number of samples, those from 300 to 999 showed the highest effect. The smart learning meta-analysis attempted in this paper is meaningful in terms of timeliness and the expanded number of papers covered by the study, and is significant in that it classified numerous smart learning characteristic factors and outcome variables and measured the size of their effect.
