초록

The purpose of this study was to consider the 'function' -famous notion in architecture- of 'architecture' with careful consideration of the 'society' we are living in. 'Functions' in architecture like transportation, residence, business, education and commerce enrich our daily lives with convenience and usability. Therefore, various types of 'functional architecture' form the current 'society'. This study is beware of situation -forced to do specific actions related to specific functions- which can be caused by so called 'functional architecture' and at the same time consider a possibility of unconstrained space -feeling the space of architecture in one's own way- by proposing 'architecture without function'. In non-functional architecture, people can go on a spatial odyssey through various spaces like the character of novel.
