Association between Positive Psychological Capital and Project Management Performance of Project Participants

초록

The purpose of this study is to verify whether positive psychological capital has a moderating effect on the project management performance of project participants. The types of variables used in this study are Project Triple Constraint (scope, schedule, cost) and Project Management Performance, while self-confidence, hope, resilience, and optimism of positive psychological capital theory are used as variables. The survey was conducted on 104 project participants. For this study, moderated multiple regression was conducted with SPSS, and structural equation modeling was conducted with AMOS. The results can be summarized as follows: First, self- confidence and hope were found to have a positive moderating effect on all the three project management variables. Second, resilience and optimism were hardly seen as having a moderating effect on schedule and cost management. From the perspective of fixed schedules and limited resources, which are the characteristics of the project, this is the result of confirming that they are not optimistic that they will recover when exceeded. Third, resilience and optimism have shown positive moderating effects on scope management, which has more negotiating chances than other management capabilities, and there is a possibility of additional resource input or a chance to moderate.
