Eight ballerina dancers in "H" university was participated in this study(Age: 28.88±4.76yr, Height: 161.75±5.29cm, Weight: 51.41±6.77kg, Career: 16.25 ±4.68yr). The postures of pelvis and vertebra were measured using a Formetric Ⅲ. Frist of all, in body composition, weight(p<.03), WHR(p<.005) and body fat(%) were significantly decreased after pilates exercise. Pelvis tilt was significantly decreased after pilates exercise, while pelvis torsion was not significantly difference. Kyphotic angle(p<.03) and Lordotic angle (p<.005) were significantly increased after pilates exercise and Lateral Dviation(p<.01) was significantly decreased after pilates exercise. Also trunk inclination(p<.002) and imbalance(p<.02) were significantly decreased after pilates exercise. The present study indicated that pilates exercise can not only have positive effects on body composition and stability of pelvis and vertebra but other athletes who except deformable pelvis and vertebra can use for stability of pelvis and vertebra.
