초록
In sections one and two, we have reviewed previous analyses of adjectival passives in two groups: lexical and syntactic approaches, and shown that none of them is empirically comprehensive enough to capture all the relevant observations, as summarized in table 1. In section three, we have propose that a slight revision of Grimshaw`s (1990) identification of arguments into an argument chain in argument structure provides a significant handle to deal with examples. Further, we have adopted Ahn`s (1986) proposal that a propositional argument can be split in argument structure by means of thematic redundancy rules, with which the A-movement effect can be captured without syntactic movement involved.
