10대의 휴대폰 이용 동기와 중독에 관한 연구 - 서울·경기지역 초·중·고등학생을 중심으로

he paper has three research questions. First, what are teenagers’ mobile phone use motives? Second, how much is teenagers’ mobile phone addiction level? Third, how do teenagers’ mobile phone use motives have effect on its addiction? For the research, researchers surveyed and analyzed 1,316 teenagers. The following are results of the research. The mobile phone use motives of primary school students are found to be ‘ostentation, mobility, passing time & fun, order & purchase.’ The mobile phone use motives of middle school students are found to be ‘ostentation, scheduling, passing time & fun, order & purchase, face and conformity, mobility.’ The mobile phone use motives of high school students are found to be ‘ostentation, sociability, order & purchase, scheduling, mobility, passing time and fun.’ Female teenagers’ mobile phone addiction level is higher than male teenagers.’ Middle and high school students’ mobile phone addiction level is higher than primary school students.’ It is also found that mobile phone addiction level increases in proportion to the years in its use. Step-wise multiple regression is used to know the effect of teenagers’ mobile phone use motives on its addiction. The result is that female teenagers are more influenced than male teenagers by mobile phone addiction. Culture and psychological motives such as ‘ostentation’, ‘passing time & fun’ influence more in teenagers’ mobile phone addiction level than sociological or functional motives.
