트랜스휴머니즘(Transhumanism) 사상의 철학적 근원에 대한 고찰

초록

This paper emphasizes the points that the foundation of trans-humanism, which is an entrance door of 21st century humanities, is based on the Russian soil. To analyze the fact that the Russian cosmology is rooted on the ideas of Nikolay Fedorov, who is the father of Russian nature philosophy, the role of Russian philosophers, such as Vladimir Vernadsky, Konstantin Tsiolokovsky, Sergey Korolev, and Forfiry Vakhmetiev are focused. In spite of the fact that the seed of the today’s trans-human movement is found in the Russian intellectual property, it is true that the heritage of Russian philosophers and scientists did not get the spotlight because of the soviet disconnection of scientific exchanges with the West led by the United States. However, this paper investigates that the weltanschauung of Nikolay Fedorov and his successors paves the way for the foundation of today’s trans-humanism. Their project overcoming human aging and death, and, furthermore, pioneering a new space is particularly emphasized.
