북한 청소년의 한류 읽기: 미디어 수용에 나타난 문화 정체성과 사회 변화

초록

This research is an attempt to look into the cultural aspect of North Korea by examining everyday lives of young people which have been lacked in the academic field as well as politicians and businessmen’s interests. Almost all researches and policy analyses of North Korea have been focused on communist ideology and governmental behaviors. In order to look at cultural level, I attempt to examine North Koreans’ experiences in contacting South Korean media which is absolutely prohibited in the society. The motivations and viewing patterns of young people in North Korea and how these South Korean visual media related to their everyday lives are research interests. I have conducted ethnographic study on young North Korean refugees referring to Foucault and other post-structuralist theories.
