초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing the malnutrition in the elderly men living alone in Korea. This study analyzed the data of 455 elderly men living alone using the 2017 National Survey of the Living Conditions of Korean Elderly. Education level, economic status, heavy drinking, number of chronic diseases, number of medications, subjective health status, depressive symptoms, cognitive function, social activity, and IADL limitation showed significant differences according to the nutritional status of the subjects. Malnutrition was influenced by heavy drinking (OR 3.799, 95% CI:1.852-7.792), subjective health status (OR 2.441, 95% CI:1.158-5.145), number of chronic diseases (OR 1.361, 95 % CI: 1.105-1.677), cognitive function (OR 0.880, 95% CI: 0.801-0.967), and social activity (OR 0.862, 95% CI: 0.793-0.937).
