중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 사이버 폭력 가해경험에 미치는 영향: 사회적 위축과 자아존중감의 이중매개효과

초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and their cyberbullying perpetration, and to determine whether this relationship is sequentially mediated by social withdrawal and self-esteem. Methods For this purpose, data from the second year of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018(KCYPS 2018) was used, and the subjects of analysis were 2438 first-year middle school students(1,318 male students, 1,120 female students). To verify the double mediation model, SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro were used, and the significance of the indirect effect was verified using the bootstrapping method. Results The study results are as follows. First, the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and social withdrawal showed a significant positive correlation with cyberbullying perpetration, and a significant negative correlation with self-esteem and cyberbullying perpetration. Second, as a result of the regression analysis, the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students had a positive effect on social withdrawal and cyberbullying perpetration, and had a negative effect on self-esteem. Social withdrawal had negative effect on self-esteem and no significant effect on cyberbullying perpetration, and self-esteem had a negative effect on cyberbullying perpetration. Third, the sequential mediating effect of social withdrawal and self-esteem was verified to be significant in the relationship between the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and their cyberbullying perpetration. Conclusions Based on these results, effective intervention methods for suppressing cyberbullying behaviors of middle school students were discussed, taking into consideration the negative parenting attitudes of parents, social withdrawal, and self-esteem.
