Static analysis for isotropic plates using stress functions

초록

n this study, the stress functions for plate analysis are first assumed and then stresses, strains and displacements are obtained. The present theory contains the same equations of motion of the conventional first-order shear deformation theory, but predicts the actual states of the transverse shear stresses, and does not need a shear correction factor. Closed-form solutions of the deflections and the stresses are obtained for simply supported plates under transverse loads. Comparative study with the conventional plate theories shows accuracy and efficiency of the present theory.
