그린디자인을 통한 실천적 사회참여 디자인교육

초록

The main function of design has been considered as esthetics and functionality. Nevertheless, this function was constructed in the late of 18th century the Industrial Revolution, meaning that it needs to reform by considering the issue of environment and energy at present. The change in perception of design education has to be made up of social contexts and stared from students’ voluntarily social participation attitude. This research encourages social participation of students with the notion of environment, life and social coexistence through educating Green Design. Based on the issue, this research suggested the case of Green Design, which is within achievable category for the participation of students. As well as, this research proposed to establish proper values and ethical believes and to understand the importance of people and environment through realizing problems of contemporary society and preventing serious destruction of the environment with respect the order of nature. As a result, this research contributed to spontaneously develop problem-solving ability by arousing the new awareness about environmental and social issues in the World through Green Design.
