초록
I explored the technical and historical aspects of Korean films during the liberation period, focusing on A Diary of Woman, The Blue Hill, Pilot An Chang-Nam. And I summarized the results of the study through three facts as follows. First, after liberation in 1945, many films were made in the form of 16mm films or silent films in South Korea. Therefore, it is significant in the history of cinema that the first color feature film after liberation A Diary of Woman, the first musical film after liberation The Blue Hill, and the first aerial film after liberation Pilot An Chang-Nam were released in 1949. Second, each of these films achieved technological progress by using color film, combining music genres, and attempting aerial cinematography. However, these films also revealed the continuity of technological limitations from the early days of liberation, such as being made on 16mm film. Third, these films had relationships with Joseon films during the Japanese colonial period. In addition, these films were also associated with issues of nation-state and post/colonialization, which became more complicated after the establishment of the Korean government in 1948.
