하이든 교향곡의 해석학적 접근: 제103번 “연타”(Drum Roll)를 중심으로

초록

The first movement of Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 103,“Drum roll” had been analyzed by the contemporary frenchtheorist, Jérôme-Joseph de Momigny, in his Cours completd'harmonie et de composition of 1805, in the theme of ‘theconfrontation of God and the Sinner.’ In this study, diverse waysof interpreting Haydn’s symphonies was proposed combining thetopic analysis including the concatenations and interrelations ofthe topics in the context of Momigny’s narrative, with thesystematic analysis such as motivic manipulations and melodic,harmonic structures. For this purpose, an interpretation of themovement from the examination of the meaning and thefunction of the symphony as a genre, its programatic character,and how Haydn’s ideal had been come true through hissymphony, in the retrospective of the Enlightenment and theIdealism of 18th century instrumental music was derived fromthe standpoint of the descriptive and poetic analysis of Momignyand Haydn’s wellknown comments on his symphony represented‘moral characters/characteristics.
