李穀의 산문에 나타난 나눔 문화의 양상과 의미 - 「借馬說」과 「義財記」를 중심으로

Two Narratives Written by Gok Lee(李穀) from the Perspective of Sharing-Culture: 「Chamasul(借馬說)」 and 「Wejaegi(義財記)」

초록

With attention to the importance of social-welfare, it becomes an imperative challenge to prove any historical data, which traces to the origin of “sharing- culture” in the history of our nation. In this vein, this article pays focused- attention to two narratives written by Gok Lee (李穀). Firstly, 「Chamasul」 provokes the importance of borrowing from others. Here, the term “borrowing” denotes that personal wealth is to be indebted much to the necessity of others. As a result, this concept of borrowing as a mutual intersection between the rich and the poor, could cause all the people to be humble as well as share their possession. Furthermore, 「Wejaegi」 expands the brotherhood to the friendship in sharing social advantages. This social tolerance originates from a broad application of “In”(仁); this ambivalence proliferates the concept of family into nation. Also, the other writers in the same generation of Gok Lee presents a similar culture of sharing. All things considered, this article intends to prove a historical trend-the expansion of sharing culture in the late period of Korea (高麗).
