급성신우신염의 역학적 특성

초록

The National Health Insurance system of Korea covers the entire population of Korean people. The authors describe the epidemiology of acute pyelonephritis in Korea using nationwide health insurance claim data from 1997 to 1999. Pyelonephritis was defined by ICD 10th codes for primary diagnosis. Pyelonephritis has a clear seasonal patter and high rate of recurrence. Incidence of hospitalization for pyelonephritis in Korea is similar to that in the United States and Canada.
