체연（體演）문화 관점에서 본 중국 고전무용 신윤(身韵)과 국제 중국어 교육의 융합 연구

This study explores the applicability of the theory of Embodied Culture (體演文化) to integrating Shenyun (身韵), the core aesthetic concept of Chinese classical dance, into International Chinese Language Education. The purpose of the research is to construct an integrated teaching model of “body–language–culture” based on the Shenyun principles of breath, rhythm, and artistic conception (yijing 意境), and to empirically verify its effectiveness in improving learners’ tonal accuracy, vocabulary retention, and cultural comprehension. An eight-week randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 40 undergraduate students majoring in International Chinese at three universities in Korea. The experimental group received Shenyun-based embodied learning instruction, while the control group received traditional lecture-based instruction. The results showed statistically significant improvements in tonal accuracy (t = 6.214, p < 0.001), vocabulary retention (t = 7.032, p < 0.001), and cultural comprehension (F = 9.842, p < 0.001) in the experimental group. Furthermore, a strong positive correlation (r = 0.652–0.781) was found between bodily performance and language learning outcomes. These findings suggest that the bodily expression mechanism of Shenyun simultaneously facilitates cognitive processing of language and internalization of cultural meaning. In conclusion, by introducing the perspective of Embodied Culture, this study proposes that International Chinese Language Education can evolve beyond traditional cognition-centered approaches toward an integrated pedagogical paradigm that harmonizes artistry and academic rigor.
