Especially, environmental pollution during the construction process occupies over 50 percent of all environmental problems which are becoming serious social issues, recently. Existing university construction lacked the preception of environment-friendly building. Therefore, this study evaluated and analyzed the main buildings which were remodeled after 2005, based on the indoor environment evaluation standards out of the LEED2009 For schools evaluation items. The universities were investigated and analyzed, based on the four evaluation items; A. Water resources saving, B. Energy saving, C. Construction materials and natural resources saving, and D. Indoor environment management. Amongst these items, C. showed the highest application rate. This results from domestic university construction's high awareness of using environment-friendly construction materials. But A. and B. a relatively low application rate. This means that it was hard to apply facilities like water resources saving system and renewable energy system to the whole school, because remodeling was focused on the main buildings of universities. On the basis of the analysis results, remodeling research on sustainable development of environment-friendly university construction, environmental conservation, natural resources and energy saving and pleasant indoor environment, remodeling technology application, students and staff's understanding of ecological values and plans for users like power saving for an environment-friendly life, water saving and separate collection of recycled materials were suggested as practical methods with environment-friendly social persistency.
