The Relationship between Adolescents' Early Object Relation and Smart Media Addiction: The Mediating Effects of Mother-Adolescent Dysfunctional Communication and Sense of Alienation

초록

This study aims to confirm the mediating effect of mother-adolescent dysfunctional communication and a sense of alienation in the relationship between adolescents' early object relationship and smart media addiction. For this study, 285 students attending middle schools in Seoul conducted the survey. The early object relation was divided into positive, negative, and disciplinary, and the analysis results are as follows. The early object relation (EOR), mother-adolescent dysfunctional communication (MADC), sense of alienation (SA), and smart media addiction (SMA) were all significantly correlated. Specifically, MADC and SA were partially mediated in the relationship between positive EOR and SMA. MADC and SA mediate the relationship between the EOR and SMA. Furthermore, MADC and SA were sequentially mediated in the relationship between EOR and SMA. These research results revealed relevance to previous research and academic and counseling implications, and suggestions for future research were discussed.
