초록

A more efficient and responsive demand fulfillment is surely one of the critical success factors as the competition in the e-commerce market has intensified. Thus, it is fundamental to implement the optimized inventory replenishment framework in managing the material flows in a fulfillment center. In this study, we consider the problem of controlling inventory optimally flows in a Forward-Reserve storage system. We develop the inventory replenishment problem by formulating the MILP models to control the inventory management plan under the assumption that there is a demand forecast for the fixed coming periods. Using the developed optimization models, we perform extensive numerical studies to verify the possible applications of the developed optimization model and find out the meaningful insights. The suggested model in this work is expected to help control the inventory flows in a Forward-Reserve storage system.
