초록

This study analyzed the effects of strategic leadership on psychological empowerment, job enthusiasm, and innovation behavior and the mediating effect of psychological empowerment to analyze the effect mechanism of small and medium-sized business managers' strategic leadership leading to individual performance through psychological factors of organizational members. To this end, the structural equation model was used to analyze the questionnaire responses of 513 office workers working at small and medium-sized businesses. Analysis results found that the strategic leadership of small and medium-sized business managers was found to have a positive and significant effect on the psychological empowerment of organizational members but had no significant effects on job enthusiasm and innovation behavior. Second, strategic leadership was found to have positive and significant effects on job enthusiasm and innovation behavior through the psychological empowerment of organizational members, confirming the mediating effect of psychological empowerment. These research results contribute to developing the understanding of the importance of strategic leadership for improving the business performance of SMEs by identifying that strategic leadership plays an important role in organizational effectiveness and the corporate performance of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, strategic leadership contributes to the survival and growth of small and medium-sized businesses in a rapidly changing business environment by proposing measures to improve the strategic leadership of CEOs of small and medium-sized businesses.
