Ko Jung-hee’s poetry world consistently maintains a people-centered view. The fundamental question that Ko Jung-hee does not let go of is based on the logic of universality of religious spirituality. At the same time, Ko Jung-hee maintains the logic of strategic reproduction for reality modification and resistance. Can the beliefs of resistance to reality and religious beliefs coexist? The aphoria of Ko Jung-hee’s study is here. The root for Ko Jung-hee’s poetry lies in the Christian spirit. In this study, the fundamental driving force of Ko Jung-hee’s poetry, which simultaneously reproduces the attitudes and beliefs of world understanding, is named as ‘apocryphal utopian consciousness’. The conceptual premise for research is based on Ernst Bloch’s ‘Philosophy of Hope’. The logic of world perception, which Ko Jung-hee embodied earlier, has an external character. The logic of perception of reality through religion encompasses atheistic perspectives. This is because Christian implicit messianism has the same meaning as utopianism. The subject that leads the narrative of anticipation in history and reality is the people. Religion rewrites the expected horizon of popular events as divine truth events. For Ko Jung-hee, poetry writing is revealed as the emblem of the truth event.
