STEAM 교사 연구회 개발 자료 분석: 융복합교육적 접근

초록

This study was conducted to investigate the current status of yungbokhap education in Korea and identify the remaining tasks for its future development. For this purpose, we analyzed a wide range of relevant instructional materials that had recently been developed by high school STEAM teachers with support from the Korean Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. For the analysis, we inquired what educational objectives and key competencies were pursued, to what extent curriculum integration was achieved, and what kinds of context stood out in the instructional materials. The findings suggested the possibility that the instructional materials analyzed made a significant contribution to the improvement of the quality of education. In particular, the materials set clear educational objectives and key competencies and provided a variety of tasks to bridge students’ cognitive resources to learning. However, the materials showed a tendency to patternize instructional modules, constituting a potential barrier to students’ engagement in more authentic learning geared toward helping them become creative and autonomous learners. Based on the findings from this study, we discussed the implications for the future development of yungbokhap models of education.
