This article’s attempts an Euro Islam in Tatarstan Republic of Russian Federation examining particularly the origin and character of Euro-Islam. This paper aims to evaluate new concept of Euro Islam focussed on Tatarstan society. Since the 2000s in Volga region has witnessed an emergence of Euro Islam. It is a concept developed by Rafael Khakimov, Director of the Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Science and an advisor to the President of Tatarstan. Euro Islam is a moderate non-political force that poses no threat to the constitutional order in Russia. The term Euro Islam reflects the specific features of present-day cultural orientation. Euro Islam seeks to ensure that Islam conforms to the moden world, accepts political and religious pluralism and eschews violent forms of struggle. Chapter II examines Euro Islam's ideology focused on European and modern character. In this chapter, I overview jaddism tradition as the origin of the Euro Islam. Chapter III review modern Russia Islam's change and Euro Islam's preferred orientation. In this chapter, I discuss the difference between North Kavkaz and Tatarstan Islam. The aim of this article is to explore new concept of Euro Islam in russian society.
