남북한 평화증진을 위한 접경지역의 협력적 이용방안

초록

The purpose of this study is to suggest an application plan including inter-Korea cooperation zone designation and cooperation projects proposals for collaborative development between South and North Korea and peace process in their border region. This reviewed literature dealing with regional developmental strategy, resource utilization, national security, and peace settlement. Moreover, it investigated a feasibility of cooperation project in the border region based on the analysis of local and regional study and co-operational condition. According to the findings, it produced cooperation strategic plan for preservation and utilization in the border region, and suggested the ideal locations of inter-Korea cooperation zone and the specific types of projects. As a result, the selected areas of potential cooperation zones included the Jangdan-myeon in Paju city (Gaesung city in North Korea), the Cheorwon-eup in Cheorwon county (Pyeonggang county in North Korea), and the Hyeonnae-myeon in Goseong county (Goseong county in North Korea), and the selected projects included preservation and rehabilitation of the natural environment, preparation for environmental disaster and pollution, utilization of marine and mineral resources, reconnection of traffic network between South and North Korea, and joint-utilization of agricultural land.
