This study analyzes the dilation angle characteristics of concrete under triaxial compression with varying confining pressures and aims to develop a model that reflects volumetric deformation characteristics to improve the accuracy of finite element analysis. The dilation angle is a key factor in reflecting the volumetric deformation of concrete, which varies with confining pressure. This study collected 30 triaxial compression tests from six different papers to analyze how concrete expands as confining pressure changes. It identified the relationship between confining pressure, the dilation angle, and variables such as increasing plastic axial strain. Additionally, the study examined the limitations of existing concrete material models and derived trends that better reflect concrete's actual volumetric deformation by incorporating a variable dilation angle. This model is expected to enhance the accuracy of finite element analysis by accounting for changes in confinement pressure. The research aims to contribute to architecture by providing more precise and reliable information for the analysis and evaluation of structures.
