구조 개선과 옻 마감을 통한 온열침대 기능성 향상에 관한 연구

초록

Thermo-bed is a kind of Korean furniture designed based on traditional heating system called Ondol, so it has been getting continuing popularity with elderly people. However, innovative idea and new challenge would be necessary in this market because not only the price of material has greatly increased but also government announced to use environmental-friendly material. Constant exertions would be needed to improve current function of Thermo-bed based on well-being and eco-friendly trend; therefore, in this paper, we analyzed Thermo-bed user’s perception and attitude and tried to suggest a practical alternative focused on functional development. Through questionnaires, we could find out users of Thermo-bed felt dissatisfaction to their bed because of structure and function, environmental-friendly material, design and high price. Based on this result, we implemented structural improvement and eco-friendly material finishing. First, structural improvement was carried out through shock absorption system and two-way Thermo-bed mattress. Secondly, a new way of eco-friendly material finishing using Urushi lacquer which could be produced in mass production was searched. This study could suggest a lot of meaning to Thermo-bed industry in that all process of this study were implemented through user’s perception and attitude. We expect that more study and attempt to improve current Thermo-bed would be done with this results.
