지역의 인구구조와 산업구조의 인과관계분석

초록

It is widely recognized that there is a relation between population structure and industrial structure. However, the literature shows that there are few studies on their causalities. This paper attempts to analyze the causality between regional population structure and industrial structure. The causality is analyzed using age specific population data and industrial employment population data in 15 metropolitan cities and provinces excluding UI-san metropolitan city. It appears that the change in population structure mainly affects local industry. This result implies that the local economic growth is more dependent on young population in a region than industrial policies.
