러시아-다게스탄 관계사를 통해서 본 다게스탄 민족 그룹의 정체성 연구

초록

This articles explores Dagestan’s identity focused on history of relations between Russia and Dagestan, examining particularly process of Russian Empire expansion in North Caucasus and Dagestan. Also, this paper deals with the importance of empire politics in the Soviet times. Above all I concentrated some of the events and the conflicts in which occurred in Dagestan. Chapter II examines history of relations between Russia and Dagestan people’s groups until the 19th century. Chapter III reviews history of relations between Russia and Dagestan in 19th century. Chapter IV analyzes history of relations between Russia and Dagestan and Soviet national policy. Chapter V examines the feature of Dagestan people’s ethnic geography in the post soviet times. Imperial Russia has been pushing to expand the territory to the south, for this process Russia has met with Dagestan ethnic groups. Russia has dominated the Dagestan, and it lasted to the Soviet period. During the transformation from Soviet rule, new cleavages developed among the Dagestan peoples. I wanted to emphasize that Dagestan ethnic divisions happened at considerable part from the influence of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union in this paper.
