아동의 효과적인 사진표현전략 지도를 위한 사진표현발달의 특성 이해 - 유치원 아동을 중심으로 -

초록

For recent years, educational interests in digital photography as a newart medium has been increased a lot since the 21 century which is knownas an age of digital technology began. Therefore, many art educatorsdeveloped diverse art lessons using a digital photography. However,although theoretical foundation about developmental, psychological andsocio-cultural characteristics of children's photo-making should beprepared for teaching photography to children in order to prepareappropriate photography lessons, this has not been attempted actively. Therefore, the purpose of this study is designed to explore kindergardenchildren's artistic experience related to photo-making and characteristicsof their photo-making. In this study as the first step of a long-termresearch project to explore and attempt to understand characteristics ofphoto-making by diverse age groups of children, a process of 9kindergarten children's photo-making were observed intensively andexpressive strategies for and characteristics of their photo-making wereanalyzed in-depth as a qualitative research. The results of this study raisesome educational issues for teaching photography for kindergarteners: (1)children's misunderstanding of meaning of ‘taking a picture’ and itsinfluence on children's photo-making, (2) types of photo-making skillsrequired by kindergarten children, (3) mastering and understanding an effective position for taking a picture and its influence on their exploringobjects for photo-making and quality of photos they made, etc. Findingsin this study will provide an important and useful information toeducators who plan to teach children photography and shows morestudies on characteristics of children's photo-making should beattempted continuously.
