The main purpose of this study was to develop a desiccant and evaporative cooling-assisted 100% outdoor air system (LD-IDECOAS). The pilot system of the LD-IDECOAS was installed and an automatic control and monitoring system was set up for a test bed of a building. The draft test was conducted during the peak-cooling season, and the cooling performance was achieved. The commissioning processes included two options. Test1 involved controlling the return air humidity level to enhance the cooling performance of an Indirect Evaporative Cooler (IEC). In test 2, the supply water temperature was controlled for the Liquid Desiccant (LD) unit to adjust the dehumidification rate. The test 1 result showed that the impact of the DEC operation on the humidity level of indoor was limited, but the DEC had an significant effect on the cooling performance of the proposed system. The supply cooling water temperature also affected the dehumidification rate of the LD unit. In test 2, an increase in the supply water temperature for the LD unit led to an enhancement of the cooling performance of IEC, but it is also led to an increase in the supply air temperature.
