This paper presents a communication and bistatic sensing demonstration that generates delay-angle profiles and delay-Doppler profiles using commercial telecommunication equipment and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform. As millimeter-wave (mmWave) and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems continue to demand improved channel estimation and beam management, joint communication and sensing (JCAS) has emerged as a compelling research direction. However, most existing hardware demonstrations of JCAS focus on monostatic sensing, where synchronization challenges are minimal, but full-duplex hardware operation is required. To expand JCAS applicability to a broader range of use cases and deployment scenarios, we demonstrate a bistatic mmWave MIMO-OFDM system that achieves over-the-air (OTA) synchronization. This work highlights the feasibility of bistatic JCAS architectures and provides a practical path toward scalable real-world deployments.
