기후변화 대응 행동의도에서 결과기대의 역할에 관한 연구: 집단적 효능감의 매개효과와 타인협력기대의 조절효과를 중심으로

As climate change has emerged as a critical issue in contemporary society, a persistent gap remains between increased awareness and actual engagement in climate change response behaviors. To explain this cognitive–behavioral gap, this study examined the effect of outcome expectation on climate change response behavioral intention and investigated the mediating effect of collective efficacy as well as the moderated mediation effect of expectation of others’ cooperation. An online survey was conducted with 202 adults, and the data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and the PROCESS Macro (Model 4 and Model 14). Indirect effects were tested through bootstrapping analysis. The results indicated that outcome expectation had a significant positive effect on behavioral intention, and collective efficacy partially mediated the relationship between outcome expectation and behavioral intention. In addition, expectation of others’ cooperation significantly moderated the relationship between collective efficacy and behavioral intention. The moderated mediation analysis further revealed that expectation of others’ cooperation significantly moderated the indirect effect of outcome expectation on behavioral intention through collective efficacy. This study empirically demonstrates a behavioral formation mechanism in which cognitive expectations, collective beliefs, and social expectations interact together, and provides practical implications for developing communication strategies to promote climate change response behaviors.
