패션과 뷰티 유행색의 비교 분석 - 2010～2013년 트렌드 컬러를 중심으로 -

초록

Active new item projects and marketing activities through collaboration between fashion and the beauty industries these days imply that they are becoming more and more closely linked. In particular, as fashion and beauty must be in harmony, changes in the trend are equally reflected in both of them. Hence, to analyze the characteristics of the trend shared by the two industries, this study the information on these industries’ trend colors for each season between 2010 and spring/summer 2013 were collected and analyzed in this study. The result is as follows. First, it was learned that yellow-red and yellow-based colors are the trend colors in the current fashion and beauty. In particular, red-based colors, which were accepted as trend colors in previous studies, are now less commonly used, while the proportion of yellow-red-based colors used is on the increase in both the fashion and beauty industries. Second, it was discovered that the fashion industry uses a wider range of colors and tones than the beauty industry. The fashion industry uses various colors during spring/summer seasons, and focus more on tones in fall/winter seasons. In the sphere of beauty, green and blue-green-based colors are very seldom used, and tend to focus on dull tones. Third, comparing the trend colors of the fashion and beauty, both areas showed the same color and tone trends in each year, especially seasonal color trends. Achromatic colors were commonly used in the fashion industry, whereas this was not the case in the beauty counterpart. Also, unlike in the realm of fashion, red-purple colors were used in the beauty sector on a steady basis. Finally, as time went on, natural images were becoming magnified as the main trend, meaning that both the fashion and beauty industries are focusing more on colors for the purpose of creating natural images. This implies that the two industries are sharing the trend, which is reflected in the colors that they express. Hence, it shall be more effective to plan color uses based on cooperation between the fashion and beauty industries.
