Polyaniline(HCl) Nanostructures Controlled by Changing Various Experimental Conditions (Concentration of PVP, temp, monomer conc. Etc.)

초록

Polyaniline(PANI) doped with hydrochloric acid(HCl) was synthesized by using ammonium persulfate(APS) as initiator and oxidizing agent in aqueous medium. The oxidation polymerization of aniline monomers was performed in the presence of water-soluble polymeric stabilizer such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) A different concentration of PVP was dissolved in distilled water and the HCl aqueous solution was added to this solution. To observe the change of PANI morphology, some variables, such as the concentration of PVP and aniline, reaction temperature, a kind of dopants. was changed. It was found that the morphology of PANI strongly depends on these reaction conditions. The PANI dispersion was characterized using UV/vis. absorption spectroscopy, and FT-IR spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to determine the size and observe the morphology of the PANI nanostructures. Electrical conductivity measurements were carried out with four-pobe conductivity measurements using the form of compacted disk pellet.
