한국폴리텍대학 졸업생의 직업기초능력에 대한 산업체의 교육 요구도 분석

초록

The importance of flexibility and adaptability in the global knowledge-based economy is a leading issue in current education and training. To fulfill many different roles throughout life in organization and to increase individual employability, key competencies are critical. In this sense, key competencies need to be taught as an educational process in post-secondary education. In order to increase the level of key competencies of students, the current status of key competencies should be first assessed. Then, this study is intended to investigate the current status and needs of key competencies required from graduates of Korea Polytechnic Colleges. The study conducted surveys of industries where the graduates are employed. The data were analyzed using IPA matrix analysis and Borich needs analysis. The research findings showed that key competencies need to be developed in the areas of self development, problem solving, and communication. Based on the results of the study, several tasks to improve key competencies were suggested for education in the Polytechnic Colleges.
