초록
Rheumatic diseases comprise a heterogeneous group of disorders that affect not only the joints but also multiple organ systems throughout the body. Because of chronic inflammation and immunosuppressive therapies, these conditions are often associated with a wide range of musculoskeletal complications. Herein, we discuss common musculoskeletal complications in patients with rheumatic diseases, including osteoporosis, non-traumatic tendon rupture, osteonecrosis, infection, growth retardation, and macrophage activation syndrome. As these complications may be clinically indistinguishable from disease exacerbations, imaging findings play a pivotal role in early diagnosis and appropriate management.
