A four-port coplanar antenna for Cognitive Radio (CR) applications is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna and three inner rectangular loop antennas. The UWB antenna is in charge of spectrum sensing and fully covers the UWB spectrum of 3.1 - 10.6 GHz. Three loop antennas are used for communication and cover the UWB spectrum partially. A high isolation of greater than 17.3 dB is achieved without using an additional decoupling structure.
