창작스튜디오 참여 감상교육 사례 분석 -시각적 대화기술 향상을 위한 제한점 탐색을 중심으로-

I believe that the desirable process of art education has to be composed with close relation among experiences, appreciation and creative activities, which in total provide the development of learners’ communication skills. However, visual art education in South Korea strongly focuses on improving representative technique and expressive skills. Curriculums and guidebooks of public textbook in 2009 proposed and emphasized the art appreciation education, applied with artist residency studio participation. However, its implementation has been not often used to the field of education. Artist residency is a mediator space between a museum and an artist(designer). This specific characteristic of the space, art residency, will make up for the defaults of present public art education, for example, a student’s passive attitude toward participating in art class. This research emphasized the necessity of improving visual dialogue technique based on many case studies analysis, related to programs from artist residency. Before conducting this research, I analyzed diverse domestic and foreign cases about previous researches, such as the reality of participating in education in artist residency studio. Also, the research closely looked at the notion of visual dialogue technique and the characteristics of acceptance of aesthetics and proposed the application of artist residency programs to improve a student’s active participation in visual art class. As a result, this research tried to overcome the shortcomings of visual art education in South Korea, which focuses on fine art and drawing technique. This study also proposed the effectiveness of participation in aesthetic appreciation education in artist residency studio.
