PRIMITIVE CURVES IN THE BOUNDARY OF A HANDLEBODY

We define the homotopy primitive curve complex for a handlebody, which can be considered as a quotient of the primitive curve complex for the handlebody. We show that the homotopy primitive curve complex is connected, and suggest some related questions.
