비영리조직의 효율성 분석과 개선 방안에 관한 연구 - 문화예술기관을 중심으로 -

Researches on the evaluation of the effectiveness of non-profit organizations are constantly being made as part of performance evaluation. Cultural art institutions and cultural facilities have been continuously expanding as part of the national policy to promote culture and art for the public. The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency of public art centers using the DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) and lead the improvement of inefficiency. This study confirms the parameters for measuring efficiency, based on existing studies on the efficiency of art centers and, evaluated the relative efficiency of 33 public cultural art centers in seven metropolitan cities in Korea by using the DEA. For inefficient public art centers, the objectives of improving input and output factors were presented. Also, the differences in efficiency by the group of opening, operating subject, location, the income level of the public were presented. This study has contributed in analyzing the efficiency of cultural arts centers and presenting potential improvement target. This study has significance in suggesting the inefficiency improvement targets to nonprofit organizations as managers has a duty of stewardship to manage organizations efficiently as faithful servants of God.
