치유적 모빌리티 관점에서 본 비행 청소년 걷기 교화 경험의 구조: 제주 ‘손 심엉 올레’ 사례

This study aimed to identify the structure and formation process of walking-based rehabilitation experiences using the Jeju Son Simeong Olle walking rehabilitation program as a case study. The experience was interpreted as a tourism mobility experience and analyzed from the perspective of therapeutic mobilities. An instrumental qualitative case study design was employed, and interpretive experience analysis was conducted using official documents, program records, and online reviews and reflective accounts written by participants and accompanying guardians. The findings showed that walking-based rehabilitation constituted an integrated experiential environment in which the active body, the social body, and the context of walking were organically combined. The experience evolved from initial tension to emotional relief, relational interaction, and the reconstruction of self-awareness. However, this progression was nonlinear, with emotional relief coexisting with fatigue, and relational openness coexisting with interpersonal distance. These findings suggest that healing through walking is contextually shaped by the interaction of bodily, relational, environmental, and institutional conditions. Accordingly, walking-based rehabilitation should be understood from the perspective of tourism mobility experiences, extending the concept of therapeutic mobilities to institutional and non-elective contexts. This study deepens the theoretical understanding of tourism experience formation and offers practical implications for walking-based rehabilitation and therapeutic tourism programs.
