창의적 교육환경을 위한 초등학교 어학교육실의 실내공간 연구 -인천광역시 초등학교를 대상으로-

초록

In 21st century, policies and education methods to develop creativity of our youth have been studied nationally. Especially, it is necessary to implement foreign languages due to globalization. Most of elementary schools have plans to provide language teaching rooms. This study will provide directions to efficiently utilize space by evaluating interior environments of these language teachings rooms in elementary schools for promoting/enhancing creativity of our students in the globalized world. This study designated 5 separate schools language teaching rooms in Inchon as the test subjects.The checklist was created based on the environmental elements of encouraging creativity through the precedent studies and analyzed data from perspective of promoting creativity. The evaluation result has found that rooms that provided structures that encourage students to have pleasant learning experiences such as comfortable furniture, better lightings, and research centers were most suitable for promoting creativity. On the other hand, rooms that were not as equipped and structured resulted in less pleasant learning experiences.
