불균질 산화를 이용한 연화광산 통기갱 갱내수의 처리방안 연구

A Study of the Treatment System of Mine Water of the Ventilation Adit in the Yeonhwa Mine using Heterogeneous Oxidation

초록

After the heavy rain in July 2006, a large amount of mine water leading to yellowboy in the river adjacent to the adit flew out from the ventilation adit constructed at the Yeonhwa mine in Taeback area. Since the pH of mine water has shown the neutral condition, the heterogeneous oxidation system of iron could be considered to be a appropriate treatment method for it. In this study, feasibility of heterogeneous oxidation system to treat mine water was evaluated by performing laboratory scale experiments and pilot scale experiments. The iron removal ratio was higher than 95%. The iron concentration and the amount of suspended solids were lower than the standards of effluent water (2 mg/L and 25 mg/L, respectively). Estimated treatment capacity of the system is 530 g/㎡/day which is about 26.5 times of that of passive treatment systems composed of oxidation ponds and aerobic wetlands.
