목 적 : Ependymoma is rare tumor that have been neoplasm arising from ependymal cells lining the ventricles and the central canal of the spinal cord. Most childhood ependymomas are intracranial, whereas most adult tumors are spinal. We report a case of the ependymoma that was found in lateral ventricle and cerebellopotine angle. 대 상 : A seventy-one year old woman visited with a complain of dizziness. Neurological deficit was not seen. Preoperative computed tomography showed well-enhanced mass in the lateral ventricle. Preoperative magnetic resonance image showed well-enhanced and well-defined mass in the lateral ventricle and right cerebellopotine angle. Another primary malignant focus was not found. 결 과 : Gross total resection was done in the cerebellopontine angle through suboccipital approach. Histological examination was papillary ependymoma. Symptoms were improved and neurological deficits were not seen after the operation. Postoperative computued tomography showed complete resection of tumor. Mass in the lateral ventricle is to be managed with radiotherapy. 결 론 : Ependymoma is uncommon neoplasm of the cerebellopontine angle. We report a rare case of ependymoma that seed in the cerebellopontine angle.
