국어의 어두자음군에 대한 최적성이론의 분석

초록

This paper is to investigate a diachronic change of ‘p’+consonant clusters, ‘ps’+consonant clusters with the framework of Optimality Theory. Namely, this paper aims to clarify the changing processes of the Korean consonant clusters, especially in word initial. In this paper, I will focus on the constraints found in sequencing consonants in onset. The interesting observations concerning onset in the middle Korean are found in ‘p’ or ‘ps’ sequence. Such ‘p’ or ‘ps’ sequences have been considered an exception to the Korean syllable structure. The purpose of this paper is to review the analyses of ‘p’ or ‘ps’ sequences and to present an analysis of word initial consonant clusters different from the previous analyses. At last, I will talk about the problem that word initial consonant clusters vanish for a certain reason, and then I explain word initial consonant clusters diachronic change in Optimality Theory.
